Woman Getting Media LLC, the publisher of catseat.com, takes copyright seriously, both ours and everyone else’s. If you believe material on the Site infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to enforce, this page explains how to tell us and what happens after you do. We respond promptly to properly submitted notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (the “DMCA”).

Filing a DMCA notice

Send a written notice to our Designated Copyright Agent listed below. For the notice to be effective under the statute, it must include:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with enough detail (such as the URL) for us to locate it.
  • Your contact information, including your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.

Counter-notification

If material you posted was removed or disabled and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification to the same agent. It must contain:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before it was removed.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, mailing address, and telephone number, a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in the judicial district where you are located (or, if outside the U.S., any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the party who submitted the original notice or their agent.

Repeat infringers

In appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, we may remove or disable access to material and terminate the Site access of users determined to be repeat infringers.

A caution about false claims

Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, a person who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, can be held liable for damages. Please be certain of your claim before you file.
