Most ‘smart’ cat products are really products for us cat parents. Automatic feeders serve dinner when we are late. Self-cleaning litter boxes scoop up their poop. An app-monitored water fountain helps us make sure they’re drinking enough water. Useful? Absolutely. Exciting for the cat? Err, not really!
I really wanted to make a list of products cats can actually enjoy and be enriched by, not just a list that makes our lives easier. I’ve also seen so many amazing cat products lately. I don’t know about you, but I mostly find them when I’m scrolling through Instagram, and I end up sending my husband Cory each one that looks cool (along with every other hilarious cat video I see). That’s how this list started. You won’t find any toys on this list (that will be separate) but instead you’ll find things they can climb, investigate, hang out in, or exercise with.
Some of these products are relatively affordable. Others require a whole new bedroom set or professional installation (or a mortgage payment). But they’re all products we think your cat will love and be completely entertained by. So without further ado, here are the latest products filling up our feed and wish lists.

Let’s start with the product that sent me down this particular rabbit hole. The Gatrimonial Bed from CatLife is an actual bed frame YOU sleep on, but with a wooden cat maze hidden inside the base. Round openings along the sides let a cat disappear under the mattress, move through the dividers and pop out somewhere else. It’s like a dimly lit basement apartment for your furry roommates! LOL.
The idea is awesome, but the logistics are a little unclear to me. How do you clean inside it? And more importantly, how do you get a cat OUT of it if they’re hiding and you have to go to, I don’t know, the vet? CatLife says to close up the entrances ahead of time when you know your cat has somewhere to be, which is basically what we do for our regular bed, too.
Either way, this is a really great way to create a cool environment for your cat(s) in a normally empty space.

The Cat-on LE TUBE is made in Germany (which is why you’ll see prices listed in euros when you go to the website) but this is so cool we wanted to include it. Ninety euros (about $104) is a lot of money for cardboard, but this thick, curved tunnel is very versatile. It works as a tube, scratcher, and perch all at once, and it looks nice enough that you don’t have to shove it behind a chair when people come over. Our two love their tubes (the collapsible fabric kind, which are one of the few toys they’ve never gotten sick of), so a tunnel they can also scratch on sounds like a winner to me.
Cat-on makes each one by hand in Berlin but ships worldwide. Just check on pricing to make sure you won’t want to be hiding your wallet in a tube after.
We are redoing our second bedroom into a den/office/cat room, and one of the reasons we want to do this is so we can install a cat wall. We’ve looked at a few different companies, but this is the #1 company we’re looking at.
The Juggernaut from Catastrophic Creations definitely becomes a focus of a room, but isn’t that the point? It covers most of a wall with wooden walkways, a rope bridge, hammocks, and scratchers. Sure, a normal cat tree might take up a corner while this one takes up the whole wall (or two) but that’s also why it’s awesome!
The cats can cross the room, change levels and pick between an out-in-the-open spot or a tucked-away one. And bonus? None of it involves a giant carpeted tower sitting in the middle of your floor. The current version is roughly 89 inches wide, costs about $700 and attaches to six studs spaced 16 inches apart. You’ll want to make sure you measure everything (twice) before you order. In fact, you can even send a photo of the wall you’re thinking of installing it on and the dimensions, and the company will report back on the best setup for your space. If we end up getting this (or any cat wall) we’ll document the installation process for you to see.
